A Message from the Building Project Chair

April 18, 2025 — Project Update

Excitement is in the air! The Building Committee continues to refine plans for our brand-new Cadott Library! Cedar Corporation will soon release the approved plans for contractor bidding, and construction is slated to begin on July 1st! Thanks to the $3.7 million-dollar Flexible Facilities Program Grant, our Cadott community, without the use of tax dollars, will have a modern and accessible library by September of 2026.  

Please continue to follow building updates on our library webpage and Facebook posts. In case you have not yet heard, our focus will be on education, health, and employment initiatives including high speed internet access, per grant requirements. Materials, technology and library programs supporting these initiatives must be sustained by the library for a minimum of 5 years. We look forward to providing and enhancing these vital initiatives for years to come. 

Our Capital Campaign Committee is working to secure finances to cover expenses that are not eligible for grant funding, and to ensure the future of our library for generations to come.  I hope you will please consider making a donation to support the work and mission of our Community Library. Today’s libraries offer so much more than simply books. I am proud and honored to be one of the many community members, both past and present, who have worked so hard to make this new library possible.

Building Committee Meetings

Full Committee Meetings will generally be held the 2nd Thursday, each month in the Cadott Elementary Library during the school year. Summer Meetings are held at the library.

While a quorum of the library board may be present at Committee Meetings, no other library business is to be discussed or voted upon.

Regular Library Board Meetings are held 2nd Monday at 4:30 PM, at the Library or virtually.

Individuals who wish to attend the meeting can join Virtually. The library is utilizing Microsoft Teams for virtual meeting space, which may require you to download a desktop software or use Microsoft Edge as your browser. Please test your connection ahead of time.

All meetings ARE open to the public, unless a noted closed session is in effect, per state law.
