Where can I check out my library materials?
You can check out materials from Cadott Community Library, as well as any of the 49 MORE libraries. For a list of libraries, click here. You can check out e-books and e-audiobooks from anywhere with wifi.

Where can I return my library materials?
You can return materials at any MORE library. We have a dropbox at the circulation desk for you to return library materials, as well as an outside dropbox if you are dropping materials off after hours. Our outside dropbox is located in the front of the building by the door. If you are returning CDs, DVDs, or Audiobooks, please return them in the drop connected to the building. We do not want heavy books falling on top of these items as that could result in damage that you may be responsible for.
Are there any limits on the number of items I can have?
There is no specific limit on the number of books you can have checked out at one time – but be careful because if you have 20 books checked out and they all are late a day, fines can accumulate quickly. Additionally, you are only allowed 100 items at a time. This includes books, movies, magazines, etc.

There is a limit on locally owned DVDs. There can be no more than 5 Cadott DVDs checked out at one time per library card. This includes both adult and children’s DVDs.

What if I want to renew my items?
Each item can be renewed twice. Items can be renewed at any MORE location or online through your account found HERE.

If an item has a hold on it, it cannot be renewed and must be returned to the library.

What if I lose or damage an item?
If materials are not returned on time, two overdue notices will be sent, followed by a replacement bill. If an item belonging to Cadott Community Library is damaged and determined by the director of the library to be unfit to circulate, you will be charged for the replacement of the item. If the item is from another MORE library, the item will be sent back to the library and you will be billed at that library’s discretion.

At the Cadott Community Library replacement items that are in new condition may be accepted in lieu of a replacement fee at the discretion of the library director.

Can I get reminders to return my items?
Yes! We provide a service called Library Elf to help you keep track of your library materials. To learn more and to sign up, click here. We also have informational fliers about Library Elf at the circulation desk.
How long can I keep library materials?
Loan periods for items checked out at the Cadott Community Library items are listed in the chart below. Please keep in mind that not all MORE libraries have the same loan periods. If you check out at another MORE Library, your due dates and/or fines might be different than if you check out at Cadott.
